Flowery Branch Christmas Wishes Festival & Lantern Parade 2023

We are excited to inform our students and parents about our participation in the 2023 Flowery Branch Christmas Wishes Festival & Lantern Parade on Saturday, November 18th.
Event Details:
  • Meeting Time: 4:30 p.m.
  • Meeting Location: Cherokee Bluff High School Band Room
​Uniform Requirements:
  • Long-sleeve "Ugly" Christmas sweater (or plain green, red, or black top)
  • Black dress pants (no jeans!)
  • Black dress shoes (Marching Band shoes are acceptable)
  • Black socks
​CBBA will provide a purple Santa hat for students to wear during the parade

Transportation
  • School buses will transport students to Flowery Branch Methodist Church (5237 Church Street) for the parade lineup.
​Parade Route:
  • The parade will follow a designated route through downtown Flowery Branch (see image below)​.​

Parade Spectator Parking:
  • ​Parking will be a challenge for parade spectators. Below is a map of areas to park to see the parade.

Post-Parade Instructions:
  • Following the parade, students will walk down Railroad Ave. back to the church to load equipment and collect the Santa hats.
  • Buses will then transport students back to Cherokee Bluff High School.

Parent Pick-up:
  • If students are riding home with parents after the parade, Mr. Cantrell must receive a note from parents before departing Cherokee Bluff High School.
  • Parents can meet Mr. Cantrell back at the Methodist Church following the parade.
