BAND PROFILE:

Official Name:          Cherokee Bluff High School Band

School Colors:          Purple, White and Silver

School Mascot:         Bears

Principal:                   Mrs. Denise Ramsey

Band Directors:         Mr. J. Craig Cantrell and Mr. Geoffrey Lonberger

Curriculum:               Wind Symphony, Symphonic Band and Concert Band, Marching Bears, Winter Guard, Indoor Percussion, Jazz Band,
                                    Percussion Ensembles, and various performing ensembles for specific instruments (i.e. Flute Choir, Trombone       
                                    Choir, Woodwind Quintet)

Feeder Middle School:             Cherokee Bluff Middle

Organization:             With such a young and thriving program, student leaders with outstanding leadership skills are required to achieve                                      our goals. Leaders are chosen each spring based on motivation, desire, and the ability to communicate with others.
                                    Section leaders are chosen for each instrument family.  Band officers are chosen to assist in the overall operation                                        of the program.  Drum Majors are the top commanders of the Marching Band.  A leadership camp is held each                                              Spring, with supplemental activities and meetings scheduled throughout the year.
