MARCHING BEARS MINI CAMP

Saturday, September 13
8:00am - 4:00pm
​As we continue to strive for excellence in our band program, we have an importance event coming up that we'd like to remind you about - the Marching Band Mini-Camp! This Mini-Camp is an integral part of our preparation for upcoming performances, and we need all of our Marching Bears members to be there.

During this Mini-Camp, we will focus on perfecting our drill movements, adding new visual/choreography components, and incorporating exciting elements, including props, into our production. This intensive training session will help our students enhance their performance skills and ensure we deliver unforgettable shows in the upcoming weeks.

Lunch: We'll have a lunch break at 11 a.m., so please ensure your child brings a packed lunch along with plenty of snacks and water to stay hydrated throughout the day.


Here is the schedule for the day:
8:00-11:00          Winds/Colorguard/Batterie Percussion on PRACTICE FIELD – DRILL
Front Ensemble in Band Room - SECTIONAL
 
8:05-8:20            Gathering up and Stretching on PRACTICE FIELD
 
8:20-8:40            Marching/Movement Warm-up Routine
                                                          Down the Field, Adjusted Step Size, etc.
8:40-8:50            Water Break
 
8:55-9:30            Learn Sets 38-42
 
9:30-9:40            Water Break
 
9:50-10:20          Learn Sets 42-45

10:20-10:30       Water Break / Pop-sickles
 
10:30-10:55       Percussion move to sectionals / Winds & Guard work on Part I drill
 
11:00-12:15       LUNCH (Cafeteria)
 
12:15-12:25       Sectional Meetings (TBA)
 
12:25-1:50         Indoor Sectionals
 
1:50-2:00           Move to Outdoor Rehearsal
 
2:45-2:55            Break – possible dismiss for Small Group Sectionals (Winds)
 
3:00-3:50        Outdoor Rehearsal continues
                                           Details work on tone quality, pitch, clarity of articulation and
                                           Memorization; (uniform study tempi: TBA)

Attendance at the Mini-Camp is mandatory for ALL Marching Bears members. It's crucial for each member to learn these new elements, as we have several performances lined up in the near future, including:

1. Hall County Marching Band Exhibition (Monday, September 15 at North Hall High School)
2. Pridelands Marching Contest (Saturday, September 27 at Franklin Co. High School)
